Basic Chicken Stock

It’s always good to have this on hand. Freeze unused portions for use at a later time.


Chicken Stock

  • Servings: 12 to 16
  • Difficulty: easy

  • 1/2 chicken
  • 2 carrots
  • 1/2 onion
  • 2 celery stalks
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black cracked pepper

How to make it

  1. Boil 2 & 1/2 quarts water in stock pot.
  2. Add ingredients.
  3. Let fester all day long on low heat, or a couple of hours at a minimum.
  4. Strain solid material from stock.

This is a basic stock, variations are virtually infinite.
