My simple procedure for making guacamole. Adjust the cayenne pepper to your own desired level of zing!
- 4 ripe avocados, pitted, peeled & diced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped cilantro
- juice of 3 fresh limes
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Blend all ingredients in a medium sized bowl, mashing lightly with a fork to blend and break avocado chunks.
Tip:Adding the pit to the bowl will keep the avocado from oxidizing and turning brown.
