French Press – The Best Way to Enjoy Good Coffee!

For many years, when I wasn’t drinking beer (weekends), I was drinking coffee (work week). Being that I am no longer young, I have grown rather educated in the methods of brewing and varieties of, coffee. The usage of the French press is the best, because it cuts down on the bitterness and the temperature is perfecto!

The only real instructions to offer in using this method, are that you should use a medium ground coffee and heat the water right to the boiling point, no more and no less.

The only downfall to enjoying coffee brewed via the French press method, is the clean-up. Yes, it sucks! But! If you stay on top of the situation and clean the press after every use, you’ll discover that the reward lies in the fact that the French press method is about the quickest way to deliver a shot of eye-opening elixir the next time you should need it (perhaps tommorrow).

On an ironic note, the French press, also known as a press pot, coffee press, coffee plunger, cafetière (UK) or сafetière à piston, was patented by Italian designer Attilio Calimani in 1929. Go figure.
